Introduction

I am PhD student in Astrophysics at the University of Oxford and avid Trekkie. While joining the crew of the Enterprise would be my dream for the moment I work on 'ground-based Star Trek': studying exoplanets from Earth using telescopes.

Research

  • The Reflected Light of Exoplanets

We can learn a lot about a planet from the light it reflects. For example, the properties of its clouds or the presence of rainbows and therefore a water cycle.

  • Observations

With ground-based observatories we can study the reflection of close-in giant planets at high spectral resolution using a technique called High Resolution Cross-Correlation Spectroscopy.

  • Towards Earth-like Planets

With detailed simulations, we can learn what we will discover about potentially Earth-like planets in the coming decades with next generation telescopes.

Curriculum Vitae

I am looking for postdoc/fellowship positions starting in autumn 2024.

  • 1 First Author Publications
  • 1 Observing Programs
  • 6 Conference Presentations
